Beard shapes that suit a round face गोल चेहरे पर कौन सी दाढ़ी जँचती है
Length at the chin, short at the cheeks. Four shapes that add angle to a round face, and two that flatten it. ठुड्डी पर लंबाई, गालों पर छोटा। चार शेप जो गोल चेहरे को शार्प दिखाते हैं, और दो जो चौड़ा दिखाते हैं।
One rule covers most of it: length at the chin, short at the cheeks. A round face is as wide as it is long, so anything that adds width at the sides makes it rounder, and anything that adds length at the bottom makes it look longer and sharper. Full beard, but the cheek line is taken down and kept straight, and the jaw corners are squared off rather than rounded. The safest choice for a round face and the one we give most often. Moustache joined to a chin beard, cheeks clean or very short. It draws the eye straight down the middle of the face and is the strongest lengthening effect on this list. Good if your beard growth on the cheeks is patchy anyway — this shape turns that into a deliberate choice. मूँछ ठुड्डी की दाढ़ी से जुड़ी हुई, गाल साफ़ या बहुत छोटे। नज़र सीधे चेहरे के बीच से नीचे जाती है और इस लिस्ट में लंबाई का सबसे तेज़ असर यही देता है। अगर गालों पर बाल वैसे भी कम-ज़्यादा उगते हैं तो ये अच्छा है — ये शेप उस कमी को जान-बूझकर चुना हुआ लुक बना देता है।

Fuller beard tapered to a point below the chin. For men who want a long beard without the face going wider — the length all collects at the bottom. Needs decent growth and regular conditioning, otherwise the point looks straggly rather than shaped. भरी हुई दाढ़ी जो ठुड्डी के नीचे नुकीली होकर ख़त्म हो। जिन्हें लंबी दाढ़ी चाहिए पर चेहरा चौड़ा नहीं दिखाना — सारी लंबाई नीचे इकट्ठी हो जाती है। इसके लिए अच्छी ग्रोथ और नियमित कंडीशनिंग चाहिए, वरना नोक सँवरी हुई नहीं, बिखरी हुई लगती है।
Van Dykeवैन डाइक
Moustache and chin beard kept separate, cheeks clean. Lighter than the others and good in summer. It suits a slimmer round face better than a heavy one, and it needs the sharpest edges — this is the one shape you should not attempt with a home trimmer. मूँछ और ठुड्डी की दाढ़ी अलग-अलग, गाल साफ़। बाक़ियों से हल्का है और गर्मी में अच्छा रहता है। भारी चेहरे से ज़्यादा पतले गोल चेहरे पर जँचता है, और इसमें किनारे सबसे सफ़ाई से चाहिए — यही एक शेप है जो घर के ट्रिमर से नहीं बनाना चाहिए।
Two to avoidदो जिनसे बचिए
- Chin strap — a thin line following the jaw all the way round. It traces the circle your face already is and makes it read rounder. चिन स्ट्रैप — जबड़े के साथ-साथ चारों ओर जाती पतली लाइन। ये उसी गोलाई को उभारती है जो चेहरे में पहले से है और चेहरा और गोल दिखता है।

Full stubble kept at one even length all over is not wrong, but it is neutral — it neither helps nor hurts. A beard shape cannot do it alone. Height on top and short at the sides — a taper or a fade — lengthens the whole head. A flat top with heavy sides will cancel out everything the beard is doing. Ask for both together and they are cut to match. सिर्फ़ दाढ़ी के शेप से काम नहीं होगा। ऊपर ऊँचाई और बग़ल में छोटा — टेपर या फ़ेड — पूरे सिर को लंबा दिखाता है। ऊपर से चपटा और बग़ल में भारी कट दाढ़ी की सारी मेहनत बेकार कर देगा। दोनों एक साथ कराइए, तो एक-दूसरे से मैच करके काटे जाते हैं।
How to ask for it: "Cheek line low and straight, jaw squared, length left at the chin, sides short." That sentence gets you the right shape from any decent barber. Bring a photo if you have one — it settles the question faster than any description. कैसे कहें: "गाल की लाइन नीची और सीधी, जबड़ा चौकोर, ठुड्डी पर लंबाई छोड़ दीजिए, बग़ल छोटे।" ये एक वाक्य किसी भी ढंग के बार्बर से सही शेप दिला देगा। फोटो हो तो साथ लाइए — बात समझाने से जल्दी तय हो जाती है।
Keeping itबनाए कैसे रखें
A shaped beard needs a trim every two to three weeks — the shape is in the lines, and lines blur as it grows. Wash it with shampoo, not soap, and use beard oil on the skin underneath, not just the hair, especially in winter when the itch starts. Between trims, only clean up the neck line: two fingers above the Adam's apple, and leave the cheeks alone.
